Black Football History Month!... Footballer of the Week!...Charles Follis!

Our 'Footballer Of The Week'

for this week

goes to:

the Big Black Man, 6-0, 200, aka

'Charles The Speedy,' who was the

first Big Black Professional Football player

contracted for a whole season with the

Shelby Blues of the Ohio League in 1904,

and, by the way, he was the first Big Black catcher to

graduate from college to go into the

Negro Leagues, oh yeah...so he played

football for 5 seasons,

and so much more...

...Charles Follis!

It is rumored that  Charles once

said, "Losing is for losers!"
